Patience in Ministry

Submitted by James Higginbotham on August 13, 2008 – 5:52 amNo Comment

Ministry leadership requires patience. Lots of it. Here are some reminders that have helped me through the more difficult times of being a ministry leader.

Patience as a ministry leader means:

  • settling for something less than the best if you have a small (or no) budget
  • waiting for the needed budget to do the right thing when settling isn’t an option
  • training those lacking in skill but heavy in heart
  • spending extra time training the volunteer that just doesn’t seem to “get it” right now
  • being happy with the size of your ministry today

Now, go be patient!
