Church staff want you to build the team and recruit volunteers – support them

Submitted by James Higginbotham on May 21, 2008 – 6:56 amNo Comment

Your pastor doesn’t want to announce your ministry’s desperate need for volunteers from the pulpit. Your pastor wants to focus the attention of the church on what message the Lord has given for the week. So stop asking.

Instead, take the time to learn how to build your team, recruit the necessary volunteers, and get things done. This doesn’t mean you don’t communicate with your staff (as we’ll see next), but rather that you can’t expect them to drop what they are doing to find the exact volunteer that will complete your team.

How are you going to recruit volunteers for your team in a new way?

This is part three of a seven part series called “7 Things Your Church Staff Wish You Knew”.
