How Do You Develop Leaders?

I’m in the process of expanding on the leadership training materials I’ve recently developed for my church, specifically on how to encourage leader development. I already have some ideas written down – now it is your turn!

  • Don’t neglect the inside of the leader. I’m referring to the life balance and self care a leader invests in to maintain integrity and character. Without an intentional lifestyle approach to balance and care, a leader can fall victim to failure, moral or otherwise.

    I am currently writing the training manual I will use for my youth ministry. It is a collection of things I have read and experienced from John Eldredge, Richard Foster, Conversations with Grant English, Jason Vargas, and a bunch of other guys. Basically it is a ten week boot camp on how to disciple. I’ll post it on my blog soon if you are interested.
