I’m excited to announce my new blog on the new 3Cords network: The Volunteer-Centered Leader. Like myself, there are many leaders in the church that devote their late nights and weekends to helping to make things happen. While this blog is focused on the management and execution of running a ministry (the hands), this new blog is focused on leadership and spritual lessons of leading a ministry (the heart) as a volunteer that has to balance a career and family.
So. come check out the blog by visiting the site or subscribing to the RSS feed and let me know what you think. For those currently subscribed to this blog, don’t worry – I’ll still be writing for this one as well! Oh, and in case you wonder where I find the time, all I can say is God is providing!
Thanks for reading and subscribing! I’m excited about what God still has in store for Agile Ministry as well as this new blog!

Guy Kawasaki put together a set of guidelines for using PowerPoint several years ago. While focused mostly toward startups doing pitches to venture capitalists, I think these rules can be used for leaders that cannot …
Often, leaders get so focused on leading their team that they can sometimes get confused on who they are competing against to recruit new volunteers or launch a new event. Don’t let yourself get confused on who you are competing against when trying to find volunteers.
