Leading For Change

Submitted by James Higginbotham on May 10, 2010 – 4:08 amNo Comment

Are you leading for change? I’m not talking about changing the way you do things inside your team, though that is sometimes necessary. What I mean is really more about leading external change. The kind of change that can make a positive impact to those around you.

There are people craving change but don’t know how to do it.

There are people who need a positive change to their life but can’t get the help they need.

There are people who need a job, a purpose, or someone to care about some bad change in their life.

As leaders, we have to keep our team moving, accomplishing, and improving more and more. But for a moment, think about those outside your team that need your leadership as well. They need God’s leadership in their life and you may be the one to lead them there, directly or indirectly.

Slow down. Allow God to let you lead people outside your team to a positive life change. Let them see a caring Christian leader, not a busy Christian leader.
