Learning Leaders

Submitted by James Higginbotham on July 20, 2009 – 4:56 amNo Comment

We often criticize churches that fail to adapt to a changing world. There are books, seminars, and blogs about staying relevant as a church in your community.

So, why do we allow ourselves to get stuck in what we know today?

Great leaders are constantly learning. If you are a leader and don’t focus on continual learning, you become stuck. You become stuck as who you are today. You become stuck in what you do today.

It is often said that leaders are readers. Books are available everywhere, are often sold at half price, are available in paperless form (PDF ebooks and Kindle format, and even come in audio form to listen to during commutes or during flights.

It’s time to learn. It’s time to lead.
