To those who are on the 'in' it may seem like a community. But, that's maybe 10% of the regular attenders. Church isn't a building, it isn't a worship service, and it isn't a place we go. It's the people of Christ. I would change it to a faith community where real conversations happen all the time, where people grow in their faith through the week, and where their lives become a ministry to others rather than an organized event by a few elected leaders. Just my 2 cents on my particular situation... it happens to be exactly what the church is working on right now, too. How about, how my church operates as a community.
